Don’t Forget Those First Communion Photos | SophiasStyle.com

Little girls and boys spend many months preparing for their first communion – studying the history and significance of the sacrament, shopping for the perfect 1st communion dress and maybe even planning a party or celebration for afterwards. Like any big event, there can be months of anticipation only to have everything pass you by in a matter of hours! That’s why pictures on this special day are more important than ever. You’ll want to get plenty of single portraits of your little one in his or her first communion clothing, but don’t forget all of the others involved in making this special day happen! Be sure to take a photo with the child’s school teachers or religious educators who have helped the young one prepare for first Holy Communion – including priests, deacons, nuns, or any other ministers.

Kiran Khan and Mongas at the London Asiana Bridal Show 2010

I’ve finally managed to get some snaps from the London Asiana Bridal Show 2010, courtesy of Jay P Photography. Here’s a selection of outfits by Kiran Khan and the very popular Mongas in London.Kiran KhanThis is the first time I’ve seen black on a bridal show catwalk since the Sana Designerwear outfit at the 2008 Asiana Wedding show. Back then, I was sceptical that a bride would ever wear black,

Choosing embroidered clothing

The England team have revealed their new 2010 World Cup strip, which is based on the 1966 World Cup winning shirt. It’s a red jersey with the standard Three Lions logo which has above it a raised red embroidered star, to celebrate England’s one World Cup victory. Using embroidery in this way is a classic style Choosing embroidered clothing is a post from: Clothes 2 Order Printing and Embroidery Blog

How Robert Pattinson preserves his handsomeness after leaving home.

Male vanity has long been stigmatised and even 7 years after David Beckham, the epitomizer of male vanity, opened gates to narcissism and made it acceptable for men to wear V-neck t-shirts with deep cleavage – talking publically about your beauty morning regimen is still controversial in the lightest sense. Pastime boardroom discussions rarely extend beyond the borders of shaving hardware about who uses Braun, Philips or who is a Gillette loyalists, not to mention the obligatory dick measuring contest over whose shaver has the most number of blades or rotaries.

Table Clothes Handmade in India

Today the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan, and the town of Jaipur in particular, are the main centres of chappai or printing. The technique of hand block printing on textiles is simple. A wooden block with one carved face is dipped in dye and pressed on the cloth and repeated until the entire fabric is covered.

Autumn Winter 2010/2011: Ready to wear style by Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

For the fashion season of the second half of 2010, Louis Vuitton and Gucci presents to us two collection of masculinity and style — melted and then moulded — into clothing worthy of your attention. Fashion, to some, is the oxygen they breathe and their only reason for existence – to others, the world of “made in Italy” labels and patent leather wallets have no more relevance in their life than bag-less vacuum cleaners.

Decisions Decisions

by Jessica Lang The type of color that you choose to wear will reflect what you are feeling and at the same time can rule your day as well. If you wear a color that you think does not suit you, then you will remain upset for the whole day even if it is the perfect color matching your skin tones, makeups, or accessories. In the same way there are a lot of people who think that white is not a color that is meant for them and therefore even if they get a beautiful white gown they will never be able to enjoy it.

In The Loft Today

You see those big rolls of paper right there on top of my drafting table? That’s Miss Mary! As of this morning (Ben made a run to Kinko’s while I slept in) the Miss Mary pattern sheet is in print. My master copy is ready, and there is a possibility that we will be heading off to the printer sometime next week! You know, I’m always amazed when I see that first master copy, at how it looks like no big thang, but in the back of my mind I know how many hours it took to make them…oh it’s such a relief to to have them DONE! There is still a lot of work to do but this definitely takes some of the pressure off! (By the way- just ignore the empty Diet Sunkist bottle under the desk, it’s all good!) While we are here in the loft I wanted to show you this awesome drafting table my hubby got me a few months ago! Isn’t it awesome?! He saw it at the thrift store and thought it would be perfect since it can be used on top of a table (we don’t have a ton of extra space in the loft these days).

Krishna Sarees – The 2010 Asian Bride Wedding Exhibition at Wembley Stadium

My recent posts have largely been about the Asiana Magazine’s wedding exhibitions, but rivals Asian Woman Magazine and Asian Bride have also been busy organising their own wedding shows in London and Birmingham (but not Manchester! I’m still annoyed that their Manchester Wedding Exhibition was cancelled last year without much of an explanation).
