The curtains have now been drawn for the deputy editor to present himself by giving soft answers to hard questions about the war online media has declared print media, and to reveal himself as a shoe collector unafraid of standing up against anyone who challenge him to a game of tennis. Why have you joined Berkley Magazine?

This weekend of introduction continues with the second instalment – A short question and answer session with the founder and editor in chief of Berkley Magazine to shed some light on the man who’s favourite inventions include the snooze button and Irish cream. “Berkley Magazine”? I just so happened to watch Lupe’s And He Gets the Girl video yesterday, an oldie but goodie, and was inspired to create two simple polished interchangeable looks that will help any guy to “get the girl”. Get the look here: www.THEURBANGENT.com. The Urban Gentleman is the modern gentleman

At several times in our lives we reach a stage when we are fully content with our range of carefully chosen clothes in the wardrobe. In there are sneakers, brogues, loafers and shoes for every possible occasions – and suspended above them are shirts in our favourite colours, dark jeans, light jeans and even track suit bottoms for casual stay-at-home-Sundays. All of which fit us to perfection but leave hollowness echoing in the bedroom created by the lack of materialistic cravings.

Unlike many of the disdainful and embarrassingly cliche “men’s fashion blogs,” I have been proud to say everyday that this blog has been functioning that Anatomy is not one of those blogs. Thus, when we suggest to you fashion advice or even sartorial cosigns, bet your ass that the last thing we are going to put on our short list of things you should own will be a tacky looking striped club shirt, Ed Hardy jeans or even those obnoxious metallic “Aladdin Shoes” that most every douchebag wears on a night out. Typically, American men are given the short end of the stick in two categories of fashion: The first one is suits and the second is, of course, shoes.

Getting An Upper Hand On The Hype
Welcome to the year 2010 and a refreshing new blog! 2009 was inarguably an eventful and rocky year. The entertainment industry lost the highly lucrative and amazingly talented Michael Jackson, and an aspiring terrorist lost body tissue in his private areas during a failed attempt to blow a passenger filled Airbus A330 to pieces. Those we should mourn are the thousands of magazines dear to our hearts which had to fold in the midst of the recession

This is a perfect example of how you can use patterns in both the tie as well as the shirt. This particular combination is a fantastic outfit for some dark jeans or even just some dark blue pants – for they work well together and the stripes play off of one another. One rule that you need to remember about ties is that they should always – always be darker than the shirt, that way they do not stand out as much … or if the shirt is white, it stands out that much more. Remember – one color that goes with pretty much anything grey – and also its distance cousin of black. Grey is something that you can use in a casual outfit all the way to an outfit that is dressy.

Shaving can be 15min chore in front of the bathroom mirror or it can be a quick task with the cutting-edge Braun Series 3-390cc shaver. Precision and performance are key strength thanks to a trio of independent shaving elements which leave the skin smooth as peace skin while keeping skin irritation to a minimum. After shaving, just slot the 3-390cc into the bundled dock and the self-cleaning feature will disinfect the shaver in a lemon-scented alcohol based solution.

One of the keys to building the right outfit is making sure that your shirt matches your tie and that the combination is absolutely perfect. To be perfectly honest most men do not know the first thing about putting a tie and shirt combination together and that is why most men have women to put them together. Well guys, I am here to pull you out of that and make sure that you look very, very good at your next function. It’s a brand new year almost and you should be looking your best. In the next couple blogs, we are going to talk about how to put a shirt and a tie together. One of the first things that you need to learn is that if you are wearing a shirt with a pattern on it – you do not always have to wear a solid tie. More tips in the next blog!

Fall 2008 H&M ad, featured in our 08′ Button It Up post As mentioned in the latest trend report , Sir David Beckham is really putting the basic denim shirt back on the map. Though the reincarnation of this trend “officially” launched in Fall 2008, we’re just now (Fall/Winter 2009/2010) seeing the trendy rise of denim button-ups and “double denim” looks on stylish celebrities and urban gentlemen. Everyone may not be able to pull off double-denim looks (jean shirt + jean pants), but it’s easy to pair a denim shirt with khakis or black flat-front soft corduroy trousers.

One of The Urban Gentleman fall/winter trends is Hard-Studded, basically it’s wearing clothes that figuratively look rough or evoke toughness– leather, studded jackets, rugged jeans, boots, etc. So when I saw this picture on PimPumPam I HAD to show you guys..

I wanted to create a simple look that focused on warmth and manliness. I began with the Eddie Bauer quilted vest; puffy coats are in at the moment and the huntery-olive green color of this vest gives a feeling of outdoors in the winter. I then searched for a shoe to match– a boot was a given, and these Eastland boots are not only full of style (and on sale), but have a timeless appeal that will consistently flow into the winter wardrobe of any man who purchases them.
