On The Note Of Luxury Footwear…

So today’s posts have been predominantly shoe-related and well, I wish I could show you more but hey, it’s the beginning of the new year and pretty much nobody is in the swing of things right now. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t have great things to show you.

Getting An Upper Hand On The Hype

Unlike many of the disdainful and embarrassingly cliche “men’s fashion blogs,” I have been proud to say everyday that this blog has been functioning that Anatomy is not one of those blogs. Thus, when we suggest to you fashion advice or even sartorial cosigns, bet your ass that the last thing we are going to put on our short list of things you should own will be a tacky looking striped club shirt, Ed Hardy jeans or even those obnoxious metallic “Aladdin Shoes” that most every douchebag wears on a night out. Typically, American men are given the short end of the stick in two categories of fashion: The first one is suits and the second is, of course, shoes.

Embossed Leather Duffel Bag by Rogues Gallery

One of the exciting things about rogues gallery for this upcoming season in context to Anatomy Magazine is the possibility of us potentially doing some work with them for the April issue. As you would imagine, this means that I have been more or less scoping out potential garments to place in the season’s upcoming editorials.

Lindsay Lohan + Yu Tsai + Gratuitous Sex = New Years Win

And before you go off and think that I’m just on some pervy perv shit like Lohan went off and starred in a porno film, just hear me out. For Muse magazine, Lohan was invited to a photo session themed after, amongst things like a stylised orgy, the 90′s romance between Kate Moss & Johnny Depp

Mag + Prototype

Now, since this product has been almost entirely unavoidable considering its strong presence on the blogs over the last few weeks, I have folded and opted to simply pub it. Sure, part of the reason why I have succumbed to the status quo is simply because New Years day posts are typically comprised entirely of whatever scraps of new information you can find across the blogosphere.

These Gingham Dunks Are Worship Worthy

After the publishing of Anatomy Magazine, I have still been getting used to certain things. But the best part about this new job is the fact that now as opposed to simply looking at clothing on the internet and merely admiring it, blogging it and moving on, pieces sometimes scream future involvement in later issues

Nike SB Dunk Hi Premium Wool

With the turn of the year less than a hop, skip and a jump away along with the advent of spring, Nike SB is really stepping up to the plate with high quality product worthy of a solid mention, most notably, the Nike SB Premium Wool dunk that I’m showing you along with the Nike Sportswear Gingham dunk which is featured in a different post. What makes this shoe truly a banger is the combination of wool with a print that features a vaguely indigenous nature to it.

The Acne S/S ’10 Line: Trés Magnifique

A true treat for the S/S season has been the unveiling of the Acne Spring 10 line in much greater scrutiny. The Swedish label’s release is takes a shift to a pleasantly laid back look with natural hues and though the collection is truly comprehensive for the upcoming season, it is the shoes that steal the show

Stussy x Haze are back at it…

With the turn of the new year (just expect for me to use this term to begin plenty of posts until January 1), we are seeing a nice healthy influx of capsule collections to kick off the new year. To continue the “trend” of capsule collections featured on this website, Stussy has collaborated with graf artist Eric Haze to produce an abbreviated line of tees, outerwear, and..

Neighborhood x Fragment Design Vintage Custom Works

Not saying that I have ESP or anything, but something told me that vintage leather jackets would be a really big thing coming up for 2010. Granted, the only caveat to this forcast is that the delivery of most leather pieces has been mostly disappointing.

Cheap Thrills: The 12Billion Dollar Oopsie Daisy

If you haven’t been living in a cave, then you probably know that Tiger Woods is up a creek for sleeping around on his wife. Par usual this scandal, perhaps the biggest of 2009 (Gov. Sanford Doesn’t have shit on this!), has been truly the butt of some serious conversation between men and women

I don’t know if he’s a Southern photographer, but he’s damn good at what he does…

Picturesque cityscapes, doe-faced ingenues, back yards, bedrooms and everything in between are characteristics of the world’s most sought-after photographers: Henrik Purienne, Terry Richardson, Jolijn Snyders and Viktor Vauthier are just a few. Greg Manis’ work follows this very-sexy formula of success that is eminent in the previously mentioned artists’ work.

Pendleton Meets Opening Ceremony S/S ’10 Collection Lookbook

I remember the last Pendleton Meets Opening Ceremony lookbook: It was, like, uber long so I decided to simply not post it. Despite the truly excellent collaboration between these two brands, it looks as if I will not be posting the entire look book on here either.

Gaultier Shoots and Scores for Street Cred With Levis

If there has been one thing that I have been picking up on over the course of the last year or so, it has been the rising interest from high-end labels in obtaining notoriety from the lower rungs on the fashion ladder…
